Role overview
This is a full-time retail sales position with immediate hiring and paid training. The role is based at Walmart 355 in Opelika, Alabama, where you will support the wireless services area and help customers choose the right carrier plans, accessories, and service options.

Key responsibilities
- Serve customers in the wireless services section inside the local Walmart store.
- Discuss post-paid and pre-paid carrier plans, wireless accessories, and service offerings with shoppers.
- Identify customer needs, address concerns, and handle objections in a professional way.
- Build positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Greet customers warmly and recommend suitable solutions.
- Work closely with the team to reach targets and celebrate wins together.
- Sell products and services in retail, kiosk, and event-based environments.
- Maintain a courteous, professional approach with customers and colleagues at all times.
- Work toward or beyond individual monthly sales targets.
- Guide customers to product displays, assess their needs, and suggest matching products.
- Provide clear information that helps customers choose the right products and services.
- Support customers in making purchasing decisions by creating confidence in the offering.
- Record and report sales accurately.
- Help the team by completing related tasks and overall business objectives.
- Keep all retail operations updates accurate and timely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, functional, and presentable workstation or kiosk.
- Submit all paperwork completely and correctly.
Performance expectations
- Show up consistently and on time.
- Meet weekly and monthly sales goals.
- Support strong customer satisfaction by minimizing complaints and rejections.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- At least 6 months of prior experience in sales, retail, telecom, or marketing is required.
- Working knowledge of products and services is expected.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities are needed.
- High ethical standards and a strong focus on customer satisfaction are important.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy team environment is required.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary as business needs demand.
- Must be able to protect customer confidentiality.
Compensation and benefits
Average sales representatives are expected to earn between $800 and $1,000 per week. Pay includes a base wage plus uncapped commission. The role also offers paid training, next-day access to earnings through DailyPay, a base pay increase opportunity every 6 months, health benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
