In this position, you will work on Komatsu machinery in the Waikato workshop, handling diagnostics, repairs, component-level work, testing, and adjustments.
The role also includes preparing rental and used equipment, contributing to major maintenance activities, and supporting apprentices and fellow technicians with guidance where needed. You will be part of a local team with access to OEM systems and international training opportunities, creating room for long-term development into leadership, aftermarket, technology, or operations pathways.

This position is based at the Waikato branch.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, on a 40-hour week.

Additional information

- Life and disability cover.
- Complimentary annual health check.
- Flexible hours when operationally feasible.
- Paid parental leave.
- Access to technical training, personal development, and upskilling opportunities.
- Discounts across retail, automotive, travel, and health products.
- $3000 referral payment for a successful employee referral.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will carry out workshop-based technical work on Komatsu equipment and support broader workshop operations through maintenance, preparation, and collaboration with the team.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have hands-on heavy diesel experience, solid fault-finding ability, and the confidence to work safely and independently while keeping records accurate and customer-focused.
Eligibility
Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Suitable candidates will already hold, or be able to demonstrate, the required mechanical and licence qualifications.
