Role overview
Jasper is hiring an Asset Manager with a strong leasing and project orientation to help manage and improve the performance of a portfolio valued at about $500 million. This position sits at the heart of the business and covers tenant engagement, leasing, capital works, value-added initiatives, and oversight of property management. You will work closely with the Investment Manager as well as outside advisers, consultants, and agents to make sure asset plans support the different investment mandates.
As the portfolio grows, there is also room for the right person to take a bigger role in building out the Asset Management team.
The core objective of the role is to turn investment strategy into practical outcomes on the ground — protecting and growing income, delivering leasing plans, improving asset quality, and preparing properties for long-term institutional ownership.
You will also gain direct exposure to some of the largest institutional investors globally.
Portfolio and partner exposure
- Blackstone: joint venture partner in a value-add industrial and logistics platform in New Zealand, with Jasper leading acquisitions together with ongoing asset and fund management.
- Stonepeak: partner in industrial and logistics investments, including development activity, with a focus on lifting value through active asset management and strong execution.
- Trilogy Funds: partner across trans-Tasman equity and debt strategies, where Jasper handles sourcing, acquisitions, and continuing fund management in New Zealand.
- Jasper Private Wealth: has raised more than NZD 80 million from wholesale investors and family offices and has already allocated capital across several investment funds.
Requirements
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a closely related discipline.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial real estate leasing or asset management is expected. A strong existing occupier network would be a significant advantage.
You should bring excellent negotiation, communication, and project management capability, along with practical knowledge of leasing, property operations, and valuations.
Experience with real estate systems such as MRI and with data analytics tools will be helpful. Advanced financial modelling and underwriting skills are also preferred.
The ideal candidate will be strategic, meticulous, and motivated by building durable long-term relationships.

- Healthcare insurance is provided, including corporate pricing for family members.
- Unlimited sick leave is available, along with generous maternity and paternity leave arrangements.
- A generous budget is available for professional development and memberships.
- Flexible work-from-home options are offered. When in the office, you will be based in a premium, luxury-fitted workspace close to Auckland’s best bars and cafes.
