Role Overview
Meril is hiring a Research Associate for its Vapi, Gujarat site. This is an on-site position within the medical equipment manufacturing sector, aligned to Nuvo Labs Pvt. Ltd. (Meril Life Sciences Group). The role supports in vitro screening and functional assessment of therapeutic antibodies and drug molecules for drug discovery initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Plan and run high-throughput and medium-throughput screening studies for monoclonal and bispecific antibodies.
- Set up and perform cell-based functional experiments such as receptor binding and signaling tests, reporter assays, cytokine release studies, immune cell activation assays, and ADCC/ADCP assays.
- Carry out binding and affinity evaluation using methods like ELISA, flow cytometry, and related biochemical or immunological techniques.
- Screen antibody and drug candidate panels to help identify and shortlist lead molecules.
- Interpret experimental results and prepare scientific documentation and reports for internal research use.
Technical Requirements
- Practical experience with mammalian cell culture.
- Hands-on exposure to biochemical testing, including western blotting and immunoprecipitation.
- Working knowledge of molecular biology workflows such as RNA processing, qPCR, ddPCR, and cloning.
Ideal Profile
The preferred candidate should hold an M.Sc., M.Tech, or PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. Prior exposure to antibody discovery, immunology, or drug discovery research settings will be an advantage. Experience with flow cytometry and immune-based functional assays is especially useful.
