Role overview
This position focuses on guiding change efforts for data-led programs and helping teams adapt smoothly to new governance, quality, reporting, analytics, platform, and AI-related ways of working. The role combines stakeholder engagement, communications, training, readiness, and adoption support to make sure business users understand the impact of change and are prepared for go-live and beyond.
What you will do
- Plan and drive change management activities for initiatives related to data and digital transformation.
- Map affected stakeholders, roles, responsibilities, behaviours, and operating practices.
- Evaluate the impact of changes across data ownership, governance, quality, reporting, metadata, platforms, analytics, and AI adoption.
- Build communication, engagement, training, and readiness plans tailored to different user groups.
- Draft messages that explain the purpose of the change, what will be different, who will be affected, and what actions users must take.
- Run awareness sessions, training workshops, and other adoption-focused activities.
- Help data owners, data stewards, and business users understand their responsibilities.
- Support uptake of governance processes, quality practices, dashboards, catalogues, scorecards, tools, and operational workflows.
- Spot resistance, adoption risks, communication gaps, and capability gaps early.
- Track adoption using feedback, participation, usage patterns, readiness checks, and behavioural indicators.
- Partner with project, governance, data quality, and DataOps teams to prepare users for launch and transition to BAU.
- Support hypercare, post-launch reinforcement, and continuous adoption activities.
- Produce change updates, adoption summaries, training content, feedback logs, and lessons learned.
- Help establish lasting data-centric behaviours in day-to-day operations.
Skills and competencies
- Practical knowledge of change management frameworks, stakeholder engagement, communications, readiness, and adoption methods.
- Hands-on experience creating change plans, communication plans, stakeholder maps, training plans, and adoption strategies.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, data ownership, stewardship, metadata, reporting, analytics, and data literacy.
- Ability to turn technical or governance changes into business impacts and clear user actions.
- Strong facilitation skills for workshops, awareness sessions, training sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
- Excellent written communication for executive updates, user notices, FAQs, guides, and training material.
- Capacity to analyse change impacts across roles, processes, decisions, tools, and responsibilities.
- Experience handling resistance, adoption concerns, and communication breakdowns.
- Skill in creating easy-to-use enablement materials for business and operational audiences.
- Comfort working with senior leaders, managers, frontline teams, data owners, stewards, and technical specialists.
- Ability to measure readiness, collect feedback, and reinforce benefits after implementation.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills, with the ability to simplify complex data topics for non-technical users.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Digital Transformation, or a closely related field. A master’s degree in Organisational Change, Business Administration, Digital Transformation, Human Resources, or a related area is considered an advantage.
The role requires fluency in both Arabic and English.
Experience of 4 to 8+ years in change management, stakeholder engagement, communication, training, adoption, business readiness, organisational transformation, or digital transformation is expected. Prior exposure to data, analytics, governance, data quality, reporting, AI, or technology-led change is preferred.
Preferred certifications
- Prosci Change Management Certification
- Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) from ACMP
- Change Management Foundation / Practitioner certification, where applicable
- DAMA CDMP Associate or training in data literacy / data governance, where applicable
- Agile, Scrum, or product management certification, where applicable
- Training, facilitation, or instructional design certification, where applicable
