Role overview

The company is looking for an experienced Development Manager who can lead software engineering teams and take ownership of application delivery from planning through release. This position calls for strong technical judgment, team leadership, and a focus on building secure, scalable, and maintainable products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and support a team of software developers and engineers.
• Own the software development lifecycle end to end, including planning, execution, and deployment.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Ensure applications are built to be scalable, secure, and high performing.
• Set and reinforce standards for coding, architecture, and software design.
• Coordinate project schedules, sprint planning, and development priorities.
• Support CI/CD adoption and integration with DevOps practices.
• Review code and uphold technical quality across delivery cycles.
• Spot technical risks early and put mitigation plans in place.
• Encourage innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the engineering group.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or management position is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of modern programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or .NET.
• Experience building web applications and/or mobile applications.
• Working knowledge of system architecture, APIs, and microservices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of Agile or Scrum practices and project management tools.
• Strong abilities in leadership, communication, and problem solving.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
