Role summary

This position focuses on afternoon dock operations, including handling inbound and outbound freight, supporting driver operations, maintaining accurate shipment records, and keeping the dock and yard organized. The job may involve heavy lifting and requires consistent adherence to health, safety, and company procedures.

Key duties

• Unload and load freight from arriving and departing trailers.
• Sort and move shipments to support pick-up and delivery drivers.
• Record freight variances such as shortages, excess items, and damage.
• Weigh freight again and calculate cube measurements when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the yard and warehouse.
• Handle freight movement and sorting while following claims-free handling practices.
• Work in line with all health, safety, and internal policy requirements.

Working hours

The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Prior forklift operating experience is necessary.
• You should be dependable and committed to long-term growth with the organization.
• Comfort working as part of a team and following instructions is essential.

• Starting pay is $23.35, increasing to $25.47 after one year.
