About the Role

Nike is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer II to help create next-generation digital experiences. This role is suited to someone who enjoys building end-to-end solutions, writing clean and maintainable code, and turning complex business needs into scalable software.

You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, and business needs, contributing to solutions that have meaningful impact across Nike’s digital ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Take part in architectural design discussions with engineering teammates.
  • Write and maintain REST API contract documentation in Confluence.
  • Create REST APIs in Python using FastAPI.
  • Build and improve data pipelines and services with Databricks, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
  • Design, develop, and release scalable web applications using React, HTML, Python, and SQL.
  • Develop and support cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Use infrastructure-as-code methods to set up cloud resources.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
  • Review code with other engineers through GitHub.
  • Help break down architecture designs into executable development tasks.
  • Create data integrations with Airflow, Snowflake, and Apache Kafka.

Who You’ll Work With

You will collaborate with a cross-functional group that includes engineers, business stakeholders, and product owners. The role also involves partnering with Legal, Compliance, and Enterprise Platforms teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned with Nike’s digital strategy.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education, experience, and training.
  • At least 2 years of experience building cloud-native REST APIs.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing in Python.
  • At least 2 years of experience using message-based technologies such as SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • At least 2 years of experience building front-end applications with React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, along with HTML/CSS.
  • Practical experience with Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Experience using SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL.
  • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Experience applying infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS SAM.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders and product managers to gather and refine requirements.
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum environments and delivering software within that setup.
  • Ability to deliver complex, highly integrated applications with many dependencies.
  • Experience contributing as part of a large project team.
  • Strong collaboration, listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Exposure to generative AI and LLM-based applications.
  • Exposure to AI/ML pipelines or integrating models into applications.
  • Prior experience in the legal domain or with legal/compliance systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MLOps or production ML model deployment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce APIs is a plus.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow.
