Network Engineer

Role Overview

This position is for a Network Engineer who will be responsible for supporting, refining, and modernizing the organization’s network environment. The role focuses on improving performance, keeping infrastructure stable and secure, and providing technical support across Linux, Windows, and IP networking setups.

What You Will Do

• Build, maintain, and enhance network infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.
• Track, diagnose, and resolve issues across LAN/WAN environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Carry out network setup, adjustments, and upgrades according to business needs and established best practices.
• Respond quickly to outages and connectivity problems with practical and timely fixes.
• Work with internal IT teams to deliver network support for different projects and deployments.
• Help forecast network capacity so the environment can scale and remain resilient as demand grows.
• Prepare and update network records such as topology maps, IP details, and configuration documentation.
• Review current network systems regularly and recommend improvements where needed.
• Run routine checks and performance assessments to keep systems operating smoothly.
• Keep pace with new networking tools, standards, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Visit client locations across the UAE for installations, troubleshooting, and support tasks.

Experience and Technical Expectations

• Applicants should have 2 to 3 years of practical experience in a Network Engineer role or a similar position.
• Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related networking protocols is required.
• Hands-on exposure to routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware is expected.
• Ability to use network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methods effectively.
• Understanding of network security practices and implementation principles is important.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills are needed.
• Candidates must be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
• A valid driving license and access to a personal car are required for travel to client sites.

Additional Information

This is a contract role based onsite in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. Travel within the UAE is part of the job requirement.
