About the Company
Codeword is a communications agency focused on helping brands build standout messaging, content, and community-led experiences. The team includes writers, editors, designers, strategists, videographers, PR specialists, and marketers. Global brands rely on Codeword to support startup launches, multi-channel campaigns, audience growth, and end-to-end PR and marketing efforts. The organization is remote-first, with offices in New York City and San Francisco that employees are not expected to visit.
Role Overview
This position supports Google’s Energy & Power team in delivering dependable, scalable energy solutions across its global operations. The role sits between internal projects and financial operations, taking work from early planning through final invoicing. It requires bringing order to fast-changing requests, adjusting quickly as priorities shift, and ensuring work is accurate, compliant, and completed on time.
The ideal person enjoys connecting strategy, spending, and operational execution, and takes satisfaction in clean trackers and efficient processes.
What You’ll Handle
- Act as the main point person for financial operations and business-process coordination.
- Own and improve the full purchase order lifecycle and invoicing timeline.
- Keep detailed trackers up to date so project spend can be compared against forecasts in real time.
- Spot opportunities to improve processes and strengthen efficiency and financial compliance.
- Coordinate meetings and presentations with partners, manage logistics, prepare agendas, capture notes, and support projects from kickoff through completion while keeping timelines moving.
Candidate Profile
The company is looking for someone with project management experience, exposure to the energy sector, strong organization, and the ability to operate independently in a less structured environment. The role also calls for strong communication and relationship-building skills, plus comfort working across multiple time zones.
Compensation
The budgeted salary range for this role is USD 115,000 to USD 130,000 per year, depending on experience.
