About the Role

The University of South Carolina system serves communities across the state through eight institutions and 20 locations, with a mission centered on service and improving educational and health outcomes. This position sits within the ASPH Health Services Policy and Management department and is a full-time research role based in Columbia, South Carolina.

What You’ll Do

The Research Coordinator will support research activities from start to finish, including reviewing existing literature, organizing and interpreting quantitative datasets, and helping produce reports and manuscripts. The role also includes delivering biostatistical and statistical support, assisting with the planning and coordination of summer workshops and training programs, and providing research consultation support for INBRE and related initiatives. You will collaborate closely with faculty members, staff, and students to help ensure accurate, high-quality research output.

Required Knowledge and Skills

The position calls for strong experience with large-scale data analysis, including artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, along with solid quantitative research methods. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, show initiative, maintain a strong work ethic, and communicate clearly in both written and spoken formats.
