Veterinary Assistant

Role Overview

DayToDay Health is hiring a skilled Veterinary Assistant to help deliver day-to-day hospital care in a busy clinical setting in Boca Raton, Florida. This position supports veterinarians and the wider care team with hands-on patient support, treatment prep, surgical and dental assistance, and client-facing communication.

What You’ll Do

• Handle animal patients safely and assist with examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental care.
• Set up and organize treatment spaces before procedures and patient visits.
• Support anesthesia monitoring during procedures as needed.
• Carry out dental-related assistance and procedures within the scope of the role.
• Keep medical and patient documentation accurate and up to date.
• Explain care instructions and provide guidance to clients in a clear, professional manner.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with animals or in a veterinary care environment is preferred.
• Strong ability to safely restrain and manage animals of different sizes and temperaments.
• Comfort using veterinary terms and understanding clinical workflows.
• High attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to juggle several tasks at once.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Physical capability to remain standing for long periods, lift animals or equipment, and perform restraint duties.

Schedule and Compensation

The role is full-time and onsite, with a flexible schedule. Pay is hourly.
