Role overview
This position sits within AIA Singapore’s marketing, distribution, and partnership function. The role contributes to AIA’s wider mission of helping people and communities move toward healthier, longer, better lives. It focuses on building meaningful relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders while strengthening brand positioning and generating growth through partnerships and referrals.
What you will do
- Meet assigned sales targets and other performance metrics set by the company.
- Identify and develop new referral channels, including AIA-affiliated entities in the region such as agencies and bank partners, as well as external sources like international brokers, bancassurance, FA, and agency channels that can introduce affluent and high-net-worth clients.
- Build, manage, and deepen relationships with introducers through business development and training initiatives.
- Plan, attend, and support networking activities, conferences, and seminars, both in person and online, to help create corporate leads.
- Complete onboarding for introducers and ensure they understand the process and information needed to refer prospects effectively.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of prospects and sales activities for management reporting and sales forecasting.
- Acquire, engage, train, and nurture introducers on the IW business model, processes, wealth solutions, and sales concepts.
What we’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management or Banking & Finance.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in sales and management within the finance sector, ideally in life insurance.
- Relevant qualifications such as CLI, ILP, HI, and FNA, including certifications like M5, M9, and HI.
- Strong background in business development and high-net-worth client engagement through partners and intermediaries.
- Practical knowledge of high-net-worth insurance, investment, and wealth management products and services.
- A proven history of delivering sales results.
- Strong capability in problem solving, presentations, influencing, and negotiation.
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, along with a positive, results-driven attitude.
- Understanding of compliance requirements, local legislation, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
- Willingness to travel overseas when business needs require it.
