Clinical Consultant - Joint Replacement

Role overview

This is an expression of interest for an upcoming Clinical Consultant opportunity within the Joint Replacement team in Dunedin, New Zealand. What you will do

• Provide practical clinical and technical assistance during knee and hip replacement procedures in the operating theatre.
• Support better patient outcomes through safe, effective in-theatre product use.
• Advise surgeons and clinical staff on correct handling and use of orthopaedic products.
• Build strong knowledge of the joint replacement product range and apply it in live surgical settings.
• Run product education and in-servicing sessions for clinical teams.
• Travel across the assigned region to support cases according to surgical schedules.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Allied Health, biomedical engineering, or another relevant clinical discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a clinical healthcare setting such as a hospital, allied health service, or emergency services.
• A full New Zealand driver’s licence.

Preferred background

• Experience in an operating theatre environment.
• Exposure to orthopaedics, musculoskeletal health, or surgical care.
• Familiarity with medical devices or clinical technologies used in patient treatment.

Additional information

This is a full-time, field-based role supporting hospitals in Dunedin and nearby regions. Regular travel is expected based on surgical case schedules.
