- Configure the cost breakdown structure so procurement and accounting activities can be monitored effectively.
- If the commercial phase has not already done so, divide the commercial budget according to the intercompany structure, contract terms, and work schedule so revenue and cost can be reported by entity, currency, and major cost account, and so cash flow can be prepared by currency.
- Launch the project risk process by organizing the first brainstorming session and carrying out qualitative and quantitative assessments of risks and opportunities.
- Perform Monte Carlo analysis.
Project Execution
- Keep the cost control system operating effectively and ensure cost status is assessed and reported accurately.

- Assist with contract changes and claims by preparing cost impact analyses and updating forecasts for intercompany services.
- Review committed costs, completed activities, and the estimate to complete, identify deviations from the baseline or negative trends, and alert the Project Manager early enough to support corrective action and avoid overruns.
- Maintain the risk management cycle by running periodic meetings and checking feedback from risk owners.
- Prepare project and company reporting.
Project Close-Out
- Support the Project Control Manager in preparing the project close-out report and the cost feedback data for the Project Control and Commercial teams.
