Description de l'emploi
About the Company
Optum is a worldwide health services organization that combines care and technology to help millions of people live healthier lives. This role contributes to better health outcomes by linking people with care, pharmacy benefit support, data, and other resources that help them thrive. The workplace culture emphasizes inclusion, strong colleagues, broad benefits, and growth opportunities, with a mission centered on making a positive difference in the communities served.
Role Overview
This position focuses on working with mostly structured data to build business intelligence solutions, identify patterns, spot trends, maintain data quality, and carry out normalization work. Depending on the business area, the role may involve creating data specifications, designing models, building analytics solutions, developing dashboards and visualizations, and presenting insights and recommendations that support decision-making across the organization. Some assignments may also include producing and managing activity and value analytics for outside stakeholders and clients.
The work typically involves business intelligence, visualization, querying, analytics, and statistical tools, with a strong emphasis on descriptive and regression-based analysis. The role is not intended for standard operational reporting, casual-inference healthcare analytics, data science pattern recognition work, or image/unstructured-data analysis using advanced theoretical frameworks.
Work is usually self-directed and less prescribed, and the position handles complex, less-structured problems while also serving as a resource to others.
Remote Work Arrangement
This is a remote role open to candidates working anywhere within the U.S. However, employees hired in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area must work from the office at least four days per week. All remote employees must follow UnitedHealth Group's telecommuter policy.
Primary Responsibilities
The role centers on analyzing complex datasets, reviewing forecasts and trends, and assessing the work performed by others.
You will also help design and deliver business, reporting, and data solutions by researching data and business processes and turning findings into practical improvements.
In addition, you will support both short-term and long-term operational and strategic initiatives through data analysis.
Requirements
Candidates should bring strong experience in business or data analysis, along with hands-on knowledge of relational databases, business intelligence tools, data manipulation tools, SQL, and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $71,200 to $127,200 for full-time employment. Pay is determined by factors such as local market conditions, education, experience, and certifications.
In addition to pay, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and a 401(k) contribution program, subject to eligibility requirements. Minimum wage laws will be followed wherever applicable.
Application Notice
The posting will remain open for at least 2 business days or until enough candidates have applied. It may close earlier if there is a high volume of applicants.
Equal Opportunity and Workplace Policy
UnitedHealth Group is committed to equal employment opportunity and considers qualified applicants without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics under applicable law. The company also maintains a drug-free workplace, and selected candidates must complete a drug test before starting employment.
