Role overview
The Group CEO will be responsible for setting the overall direction of a large and evolving consumer and FMCG business. This leadership position calls for a forward-looking executive with a strong grasp of market movements, deep financial judgment, and the ability to guide the organization toward long-term, profitable growth.
The role involves shaping a strong performance-driven culture, encouraging innovation, and ensuring the business stays competitive across its product portfolio. The successful leader will also act as a key public representative of the organization, engaging with investors, business partners, and regulatory authorities while protecting and strengthening the company’s reputation.
A major part of the role is to use consumer data and market intelligence to inform strategy, align decisions with customer expectations, and support sustainable business expansion. A strong commitment to responsible business practices and social impact is also expected.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the organization’s long-term strategic roadmap, ensuring operational and financial plans support the company’s mission and vision.
- Guide, coach, and motivate the executive leadership team to build a culture centered on accountability, development, engagement, and high performance.
- Promote innovation and ongoing improvement in product and marketing efforts by applying consumer insights to improve customer experience and market position.
- Manage financial planning, forecasting, and risk controls to maintain discipline, protect resources, and improve profitability.
- Develop strong relationships with important internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Track sector trends, competitor activity, and changing consumer behavior to keep the company well-positioned in the market.
- Lead sustainability and CSR initiatives that support business goals and reinforce brand trust.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the FMCG sector, including executive-level responsibility.
- Strong understanding of international FMCG trends, consumer buying patterns, and competitive market structures.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale P&L and operating budgets, preferably in multinational settings.
- History of leading major strategic change efforts that improve efficiency, innovation, and long-term growth.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence board members, shareholders, and other senior decision-makers.
- Solid knowledge of advanced analytics and market research methods to guide product and marketing decisions.
- Experience working within complex regulatory environments while maintaining governance and compliance standards.
