Information Security Analyst

Role overview

This contract opportunity is for an Information Security Analyst working remotely in the United States. The assignment is part-time with a weekly commitment of about 10 to 40 hours. Compensation ranges from $25 to $60 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Keep a close watch on security events, investigate suspicious activity, and help protect systems and networks from cyber threats.
• Carry out routine security reviews and risk checks to uncover weak points and possible exposures.
• Put security controls and protective practices in place to strengthen the organization’s network defenses.
• Work alongside IT personnel to raise and maintain the overall security standard across systems.
• Create, refine, and share security guidelines and operating procedures so the organization can stay compliant.
• Act quickly when incidents or breaches occur to limit damage and reduce risk.

Required background

• Applicants should bring solid hands-on experience in cybersecurity and penetration testing, including experience with social engineering assessments.
• Strong capability in threat identification and network protection is expected.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills are important for this role.
• The person must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
