Role Overview

This position calls for a results-focused instructional design professional who can manage the full development cycle for learning solutions and related communications. The goal is to create engaging, high-quality training experiences that strengthen support for stakeholders and align with the mission of the VCF.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess learning needs and performance gaps to shape effective instructional approaches.
  • Create a wide range of training and communication assets such as interactive videos, branching scenarios, learning sprints, flashcards, one-pagers, knowledge checks, and email templates.
  • Review existing or supplied material, identify what is missing, define learning objectives, and suggest a development framework.
  • Build visual materials that communicate clearly and consistently across different levels of the organization.
  • Apply instructional design methods and learning theory, including ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and adult learning principles.
  • Work with subject matter experts when needed to refine content and ensure accuracy.
  • Stay informed about emerging tools, technologies, and training approaches.

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience working as an Instructional Designer or Graphic Designer in a multimedia company or corporate setting.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Captivate at an advanced level and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe InDesign.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex topics and translate them into organized, engaging learning and communication materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal skills, and time management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on consistency and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization.
