Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

This position focuses on keeping production machinery dependable, efficient, and continuously available in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The engineer will organize and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance work while maintaining alignment with GMP standards, safety rules, and internal company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive checks, predictive maintenance tasks, and corrective repairs on production equipment.
• Track how equipment is performing and drive improvements that increase reliability and reduce unplanned stoppages.
• Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to plan and complete maintenance work.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors so tasks are finished safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and determine the underlying causes of failures.
• Make sure maintenance work follows GMP expectations, safety requirements, and approved procedures.
• Manage spare parts stock levels and coordinate sourcing of specialized materials and external services when needed.
• Take part in equipment qualification, installation, commissioning, and validation activities.
• Develop maintenance schedules, technical documentation, and performance reports or KPIs.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives that raise equipment efficiency and lower maintenance costs.
• Maintain accurate records for all maintenance-related activities.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering is required.
• Between 1 and 3 years of maintenance experience is preferred, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Applicants must be Saudi nationals, as this role is subject to Saudization requirements.
• Strong English communication skills are essential.

This role is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time onsite position.
