Role Overview

Responsive Mortgage is hiring a Mortgage Loan Processor to support a high-performing lending team. In this position, you will handle the early-stage processing work for loan officers and guide applicants from the first submission through to an accepted home offer.

What You’ll Do

The role focuses on front-end loan processing, credit review, and keeping the borrower moving through the pre-approval journey. You will also coordinate closely with the buyer, gather the documentation needed for preapproval, and help maintain accurate preapproval records.

Key Duties

• Take ownership of the borrower file from initial application until an accepted home offer is secured.
• Pull credit information and suggest an appropriate loan program to the senior loan officer.
• Stay in touch with the buyer at least once a week to keep the process on track.
• Collect and organize documents required for the preapproval process.
• Move files through the underwriter-verified preapproval workflow.
• Refresh preapproval details whenever changes are needed.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-focused and has a history of producing accurate mortgage approvals in a timely manner.

Compensation

This role offers a base salary of $55,000 plus bonus earnings.
