Role Overview
As a People Generalist, you will help drive the organization’s people agenda by carrying out core HR processes, supporting employees and managers, and keeping recruitment, onboarding, learning, and engagement activities running smoothly. The role uses people data and insights to inform actions and contribute to a fair, compliant, and supportive workplace.
This position is based in the New York Support Office and reports to the Head of People.
What You Will Do
- Carry out or assist with employee lifecycle processes in line with agreed group procedures.
- Coordinate and deliver people projects and initiatives that affect supported business units or functions.
- Support employees and managers while people processes, solutions, or initiatives are being implemented.
- Respond to employee questions and concerns, and provide support on basic employee relations matters; assist with union negotiations when relevant.
- Help run engagement activities that strengthen workplace satisfaction and productivity.
- Support recruitment by maintaining a consistent hiring process, including communication, guidelines, timelines, and the end-to-end management of assessment centers.
- Assist with onboarding for Store Management teams and complete follow-up actions.
- Organize and facilitate training activities, including follow-up on quality and culture/values training.
- Support performance management and development follow-up, including dialogs and contribution journeys.
- Contribute to succession planning and talent pipeline work for Department Managers and Sales Advisors.
- Review people metrics and produce reports that support business decisions and highlight relevant KPIs.
- Prepare and track reports covering headcount, turnover, training, and hiring follow-up.
- Monitor people KPI outcomes linked to a fair working environment.
Requirements
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in HR operations or a generalist HR position.
- Strong planning and administration skills, with careful attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle practices.
- Ability to analyze data and create accurate HR reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on inclusion and continuous improvement.
