About the Performance Creative Department
This team is responsible for planning, producing, and improving the ad creative that powers customer acquisition and revenue growth across paid media. The department develops concepts, writes scripts, works with creators, produces content, edits large volumes of video, studies performance data, and keeps refining creative based on what real customers respond to.
Each week, the team juggles many active projects involving creators, editors, copywriters, strategists, and production partners while rolling out new creative across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms. The pace is fast, testing is constant, and the shared objective is to create advertising that is not only visually strong, but also commercially effective.
Role Overview
As the Performance Creative Manager, you will sit at the center of the department’s workflow and help keep everything organized, aligned, and moving efficiently. Your main focus is to maintain momentum across the creative pipeline, from task assignment and deadline tracking to office coordination and launch readiness.
This is primarily a project management role, but it requires enough familiarity with content production, social media, and performance creative to confidently manage workflows, coordinate approvals, communicate with creators and editors, and know when a deliverable is ready to move forward. You will also occasionally appear on camera for internal content, product demos, creator examples, and marketing assets, and may travel when needed.
The environment is demanding and highly collaborative, with priorities changing quickly. Success depends on staying organized, thinking ahead, and helping the team execute at a high level.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the full creative production flow, starting at concept approval and continuing through launch.
- Create and update weekly production calendars and schedules.
- Allocate work among copywriters, editors, creators, and designers.
- Monitor each deliverable through every step of production.
- Track team capacity and manage workload distribution.
- Spot bottlenecks early and help resolve them before they slow progress.
- Keep projects on track so launches happen on time and internal deadlines are met.
- Provide leadership with a clear view of project status at all times.
- Lead weekly production check-ins and meetings.
- Follow up on open action items and late deliverables.
- Keep strategy, production, creators, and leadership aligned on priorities and timing.
- Reinforce accountability, ownership, and execution across the department.
- Handle office attendance, equipment and prop tracking, and office scheduling.
- Build a working understanding of Javvy’s creative frameworks and production process.
- Review assets for completeness and quality before they enter approvals.
- Confirm that creative work matches the brief and production standards.
- Communicate effectively with editors, creators, and strategists using the right creative terminology.
- Support content approvals and quality control for production deliverables.
- Stay informed on social trends, creator content, and best practices across platforms.
- Appear on camera when needed for product content, internal videos, or creator reference examples.
- Keep the office clean, organized, and functioning smoothly.
- Manage kitchen stock, office supplies, and shared space upkeep.
- Track equipment, creator props, and production gear.
- Coordinate desk and workstation setup for new team members.
- Support team events, onboarding logistics, and office-wide initiatives.
- Manage Notion boards, project trackers, and production workflows.
- Organize creative files, documentation, and asset structures.
- Maintain naming conventions and version control.
- Make sure all deliverables meet quality expectations before release.
- Archive finished projects and keep records organized.
- Improve internal systems, SOPs, and documentation over time.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a structured, fast-paced environment where organization is essential.
- 3–5 years of experience in project management, creative operations, production coordination, marketing operations, office management, or a similar function.
- Background working across teams and managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables at once.
- Strong organizational habits, attention to detail, and a reputation for following through.
- A proactive approach and the ability to solve problems before they grow.
- Comfort with keeping work moving, reinforcing expectations, and maintaining healthy working relationships.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to stay calm when priorities shift.
- Interest in building systems, improving processes, and creating order in a busy environment.
- Comfort using Notion, Google Workspace, and Slack, along with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Understanding of short-form content, social media production, paid social creative, UGC, and production workflows.
- Ability to evaluate creative quality and understand video terminology, editing steps, approvals, and delivery timelines.
- Interest in keeping up with social trends, platform standards, and changing content formats.
- Willingness to appear on camera when the team needs support for content creation.
- Experience in a startup, agency, or other high-growth company is considered an advantage.
