Role overview

This position is focused on improving delivery on highly complex construction projects through disciplined project planning. You will build logic-linked programmes, assess them using planning tools, and turn that analysis into practical guidance that helps teams prioritise work and perform more effectively. Team and focus

You will join the Project Management Consultancy team and work within the Project Planning team, which is regarded as a leader in planning for complex construction assignments. Your work will support solutions to real project problems, scalable best practices, and the development of tools and technology that can be reused across projects.

Key responsibilities

Your role will centre on owning project plans, improving delivery performance, and helping teams and clients work more effectively. You will be expected to manage planning outputs commercially, create simple reports for different stakeholders, and contribute to methods and tools that can scale across future projects. You will also play a part in developing those around you through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing.

Project exposure

You may work across several projects in your first year. Typical assignments can include data centres, infrastructure programmes such as rail, highways, and defence, high-tech environments such as advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductors, as well as complex building projects. These projects are often fast-moving, hands-on, and demanding. Clients include major owners/operators and main contractors, with project values ranging from £1m to £1bn+ globally.

Working style

The role offers flexibility in how and where work is done. Some weeks may involve working from home, while others may require site visits to coordinate with construction teams. There may also be time in the London office for workshops or informal team interaction, and occasional travel across Europe or the Middle East depending on project needs and your interests.

The team wants someone who can help projects run close to perfection, build repeatable solutions to recurring issues, and grow themselves and others in the process.
