The role is suited to someone looking to develop a procurement career while supporting important projects in a high-performing environment.
What you will do
In this position, you will handle day-to-day operational procurement work and support sourcing and contract management activities. You will use the ERP system to process purchasing transactions, assist with sourcing plans, carry out market research, review supplier information, prepare procurement documents, and maintain accurate reporting and contract tracking. You will also work alongside program and project managers, quality, commercial, trade controls, and other internal stakeholders to help resolve routine supplier issues and support continuous improvement in tools, templates, and processes.
What you need to succeed
The role calls for someone with foundational procurement and supply chain knowledge, experience in project-based or complex operational environments, and confidence in supplier and stakeholder interaction. You should have experience supporting RFQ, RFI, and RFT activities, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. Familiarity with category management, supplier relationship management, supplier performance management, and contract lifecycle support will be valuable.
Eligibility and compliance
Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold, or be able to obtain, a Defence Security Clearance. The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain the appropriate level of Commonwealth Personnel Security Clearance in line with AGSVA guidelines. This role involves working with, or being exposed to, US and Australian export-controlled technology, so compliance with ITAR and the Australian Defence Trade Controls Act 2012 will be assessed. Pre-employment checks may include reference checks, police checks, security checks, qualification verification, and right-to-work checks.
