Software Engineer Intern, Video Infrastructure

Role Overview

Videotto is creating infrastructure for the next generation of long-form video in the AI age. The company develops systems that can interpret, process, and transform large video datasets with computer vision, machine learning, and distributed cloud architecture. Its platform supports automated video workflows for creators and businesses across Asia, including video ingestion, AI inference, and large-scale high-throughput processing.

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute to the core infrastructure behind video, AI, and distributed systems. You will partner with product, infrastructure, and the founding team to design, build, and scale software that has a direct impact on real users. This role suits engineers who enjoy complex technical challenges, fast execution, and full ownership of systems.

What You Will Work On

• Develop, deploy, and support software across backend, frontend, and infrastructure layers.
• Build scalable distributed systems for long-form video processing and AI inference, including AWS Batch GPU pipelines and Step Functions orchestration.
• Create APIs and services using Python frameworks such as Flask and Celery, as well as TypeScript and React.
• Design and improve high-throughput video pipelines using FFmpeg, OpenCV, and GPU-based workloads.
• Build and orchestrate agentic video editing workflows.
• Deliver features from concept to production in collaboration with product and founding stakeholders.
• Improve the speed, stability, and scalability of the overall system.
• Take ownership of components or systems with strong end-to-end understanding.
• Troubleshoot difficult issues spanning application code, infrastructure, and data.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong grounding in Python and/or JavaScript or TypeScript, including React.
• Hands-on experience creating web applications, APIs, or backend services.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design basics.
• Ability to produce clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Strong analytical thinking and debugging ability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with distributed or asynchronous systems, including task queues like Celery or Redis.
• Background in video processing, FFmpeg, OpenCV, or GPU computing.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD practices, and cloud-native development workflows.
• Experience with AI/ML inference systems, LLM-based agents, or generative media.
