Role Overview

The company is hiring a mobile engineer focused on Flutter-based app development, with strong iOS expertise. The role involves building polished, reliable, and high-performance mobile experiences across iOS and Android, while also contributing to hybrid implementations that connect Flutter with native mobile code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, improve, and support mobile applications in Flutter so they run smoothly on both iOS and Android.
  • Partner closely with design, product, and backend teams to ship well-crafted features and user-facing experiences.
  • Strengthen app speed, stability, and responsiveness through profiling, optimisation, and careful code review.
  • Investigate and fix defects, performance bottlenecks, and API or native-module integration issues.
  • Build and maintain automated testing coverage, including unit, widget, and integration tests, to keep releases dependable.
  • Work with hybrid architectures that combine Flutter with native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) components.
  • Review peers’ code and support junior engineers by sharing technical guidance and best practices.
  • Keep up with changes in Flutter, Dart, and the wider mobile ecosystem, and apply useful improvements to the product architecture.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Bring at least 3 years of professional experience delivering production-ready iOS applications.
  • Have strong hands-on experience with Swift and the iOS ecosystem.
  • Be familiar with UIKit and/or SwiftUI.
  • Understand iOS architecture, app lifecycle, memory handling, networking, security, and performance tuning in depth.
  • Have experience publishing and supporting apps on the Apple App Store, including TestFlight, provisioning, certificates, and release workflows.
  • Be comfortable using iOS testing tools such as XCTest and UI testing frameworks.
  • Understand design patterns, clean architecture, and maintainable software practices.
  • Have worked with REST APIs, authentication flows, analytics tools, and third-party SDK integrations.
  • Demonstrate strong debugging, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Be able to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and distributed teams.
  • Nice to have: Flutter and Dart experience, experience embedding or maintaining Flutter modules in native iOS apps, familiarity with Kotlin or Android development, exposure to Appium/Espresso/XCTest automation, and experience with CI/CD or mobile release automation.
