Role overview
We are hiring a Visual Storytelling Designer for a highly recognised digital media organisation in London. This is a chance to contribute to editorial, digital, and interactive storytelling at a scale where your work can reach millions of readers each day.
The role is ideal for a designer who enjoys combining strong visual craft with newsroom pace, and who is excited by the challenge of turning stories into engaging digital experiences.
What you will do
- Create compelling digital-first visual narratives that help stories stand out online.
- Design news graphics, explainers, and data-led visuals.
- Support the development of immersive interactive features.
- Work closely with editorial, product, design, and engineering teams.
- Contribute creative ideas that strengthen high-impact, agenda-setting content.
- Deliver work in a fast-moving newsroom environment where turnaround times are short and visibility is high.
What the team is looking for
- Solid experience in graphic design or visual design.
- Strong command of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Practical experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Comfort using Figma for design work.
- Interest in digital storytelling and editorial content.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, high-speed environment.
Bonus experience
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
- Experience with interactive storytelling formats.
- Background in editorial or newsroom settings.
- Exposure to data visualisation work.
