Data Analyst 2.0 (Operations & Performance)

Role Overview

This opportunity is for an Operations Analyst who will help drive data-informed decisions and improve operational performance in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. The role suits someone who enjoys working with extensive datasets, creating dashboards, spotting patterns, and turning analysis into meaningful business impact.

You will support both day-to-day operational work and longer-term improvement efforts, while partnering with teams across the organization.

Operational Support and Data Management

• Carry out daily operational tasks such as account changes, billing-related actions, and exception resolution.
• Manage and review large datasets to keep information accurate and aligned across systems.
• Spot data inconsistencies early and take the lead on cleanup and correction efforts.
• Serve as a go-to resource for internal stakeholders who need help with operational or account-related matters.
• Support adherence to internal processes tied to contracts and customer records.

Analytics and Reporting

• Build and update recurring as well as one-off reports to track operational results.
• Work through complex datasets of more than 100,000 records to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Convert findings into insights that help improve processes and inform business strategy.
• Share analysis and recommendations with stakeholders, including leadership.
• Translate technical information into clear summaries that non-technical audiences can easily understand.

Process Improvement and Project Work

• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on better workflows and greater system efficiency.
• Assist in resolving system issues in coordination with internal technology teams and external vendors.
• Take part in cross-functional initiatives, either by leading pieces of work or supporting delivery.
• Help define what is needed for improvements to systems, tools, and processes.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of experience in operations, analytics, or another data-heavy role.
• Experience in high-volume, process-led environments; regulated industry exposure is an advantage.
• Advanced to expert-level skill in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Power BI and Power Query.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale data analysis.

Job Type and Location

This is a permanent role based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The workplace format is hybrid.

Pay and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is CAD 75,000 to CAD 85,000 per year.
