Role overview
This is a strong interim opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a fast-scaling technology company at a time of significant change and expansion. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will own the finance function and be responsible for accurate reporting, disciplined controls, and useful commercial insight, while also contributing to wider strategic initiatives across the organisation.
The position is well suited to a practical, hands-on finance leader who can adapt quickly, work at pace, and build trust with senior stakeholders from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Run the month-end and year-end close cycles, making sure reporting is completed on time and with accuracy.
- Produce and assess monthly management accounts and board-level reporting materials.
- Take charge of cash forecasting, working capital oversight, and treasury-related activities.
- Lead, support, and develop the finance team through clear direction and technical input.
- Maintain compliance with IFRS and uphold a strong framework of financial controls.
- Work closely with senior leaders to deliver commercial analysis and decision support.
- Manage the annual audit and coordinate effectively with external auditors.
- Improve finance processes, introduce automation where possible, and support transformation projects.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and broader strategic planning.
- Support acquisitions, integrations, and other critical finance-led projects.
Candidate profile
You should be a qualified finance professional with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA status. The role calls for someone who has already operated as a Financial Controller in a technology, SaaS, digital, or similarly fast-growing environment. Strong technical accounting knowledge is essential, particularly around IFRS reporting.
Prior interim or contract experience is important, as you will need to settle in quickly and deliver from the outset. You should also have demonstrable experience managing month-end close activities and leading a capable finance team. Advanced Excel capability and experience using ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Workday are expected.
The ideal person will be commercially aware, confident working with stakeholders at all levels, and able to communicate clearly. A proactive mindset, adaptability, and comfort operating in a changing environment are also key.

- Hybrid working with a Central London base.
- The chance to work within a high-growth technology business.
