About the Team
The Client Marketing and Strategy group operates like the quarterback for sales. It partners closely with sales teams to shape long-term strategies, strengthen key relationships, and drive revenue growth. The team helps clients evolve their connected TV strategies, try new products, and build the future of TV in partnership with Roku.
About the Role
As Manager, Client Strategy, you will lead a team of strategists focused on creating brand-specific solutions that support core business goals. You will work across functions to align responsibilities, share success, and support profitable growth. In collaboration with Ad Sales, you will uncover market opportunities and develop strategic partnerships and solutions that help maximize revenue.
The role calls for someone with background in digital and connected TV media, strong comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. Success in this position depends on adaptability, leadership, and a practical, solutions-first approach.
Compensation
For candidates based in New York, the estimated annual salary range is $168,000 to $200,000. Final compensation depends on factors such as skills, certifications, and location.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional efforts within the Ad Sales organization to design strategies and solutions that strengthen client relationships and support revenue growth.
- Manage a team of Client Strategists serving important client and agency partners.
- Serve as the link between Roku’s ad products, content experiences, and data solutions to build integrated partnerships with measurable results.
- Use deep entertainment industry knowledge to create inventive approaches that unlock advertising spend and drive demand from brand and performance marketers.
- Build and improve workflows with cross-functional partners so the pre-sale process runs efficiently.
- Work with product teams to shape innovation using market feedback and new business opportunities.
- Position Roku’s interoperability and programmatic partnership capabilities to open up additional revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with Ad Measurement and Account Management teams to create learning plans and identify client-specific solutions tied to business goals and KPIs.
- Deliver program and custom solution presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in connected TV, with a background as a marketer or brand strategist and strong knowledge of ad tech and media.
- Strong grasp of the streaming, TV, digital, social, and programmatic advertising landscape, including the challenges brands face in each channel.
- Proven experience leading teams and helping them grow.
- Ability to design effective, differentiated programs that support advertiser goals while preserving a strong consumer experience.
- Clear understanding of how to balance user experience with advertiser objectives.
- A history of working across teams to solve problems and build efficient processes that improve productivity.
- Collaborative mindset and a strong record of supporting sales organizations as a trusted partner.
- Experience presenting to senior internal and external stakeholders.
- A flexible, hands-on attitude with the willingness to take on both large and small tasks.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
Work Arrangement
This role follows a hybrid schedule. Teams are expected in the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays generally remote. Some roles or office locations may require five days onsite.
