About the Role

Winthrop Technologies is a specialist data centre delivery partner in Europe, known for providing end-to-end solutions that cover design, construction, and commissioning. Based in Dublin, the company delivers projects across the continent and has built a strong reputation in the sector. The business is now hiring a Mechanical Construction Manager to join its growing Dublin team.

This is a site-based position where you will play an important role in delivering complex mechanical building services on major data centre projects. The role reports to the Mechanical Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep communication flowing effectively with the client and broader project stakeholders.
  • Draft and put into action method statements and risk assessments for mechanical works, making sure HVAC deliverables meet project, quality, and safety standards.
  • Work with the project team to plan the order of mechanical installations, including pipework, so programme milestones and target dates are achieved.
  • Oversee the commercial side of the project from handover out of estimating through procurement of equipment, specialist subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Support the tracking and pricing of scope changes, including monthly valuations and input to the final account.
  • Monitor and manage the two-week look-ahead programme alongside the project team.
  • Plan, mobilise, and maintain labour resources in line with programme needs.
  • Protect workmanship standards and quality while coordinating subcontractor activity on site.
  • Identify, record, and formally issue notices for variations and delays to project management.
  • Check that all plant and materials arriving on site match the agreed specifications and are stored, handled, and secured correctly.
  • Ensure the site follows all health, safety, environmental, and governance requirements.

Requirements

  • A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical studies, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager or in a similar position within an M&E contracting environment is preferred.
  • Experience in data centre projects is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable managing several work fronts in a busy, fast-moving site environment with tight deadlines.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work with a market-leading company delivering turnkey data centre projects.
  • A collaborative and team-focused work environment.
  • Clear support for career growth and fast-track development.
  • Competitive pay and a rotational roster.
