Project Manager - DIA AI/ML

About the role

This position is for a Project Manager within the Data, Insights & Applications (DIA) AI/ML organization in Bengaluru. The role focuses on leading the full lifecycle delivery of AI/ML and GenAI initiatives in a hybrid work setup, with work from office expectations.

What you will do

You will guide AI/ML projects from initial intake and planning through execution, rollout, and closure. The job involves shaping requirements, setting scope and success measures, supporting effort and cost estimates (VROM), and keeping delivery on track across teams.

You will also manage project governance using Jira and Confluence, coordinate with AI/ML, data, engineering, platform, security, and operations teams, and keep stakeholders updated on progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigations.

A key part of the role is ensuring infrastructure, data access, security, and compliance are ready across DEV, QA, and PROD environments. You will support rollout activities, transition to operations, documentation, and handover, while also capturing learnings to improve future DIA delivery practices.

Required experience and knowledge

The role calls for practical experience delivering AI/ML, GenAI, or data-focused projects in an enterprise setting. Candidates should have a solid grasp of Agile and hybrid delivery approaches, strong cross-functional coordination skills, and hands-on familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and modern delivery tools.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling uncertainty, managing dependencies, and making sound technical trade-offs. A strong background in ML, DL, and hyperscalar AI solutions is required, with Azure being the preferred cloud environment. Experience across the software development lifecycle, including project closure, ROI calculation, and business-use-case presentation, is also important.

Good-to-have exposure includes semiconductor or manufacturing-focused products, as well as prior product management experience involving roadmaps, requirements, or business-driven prioritization. PMP or a similar project management certification is preferred. Experience with cloud platforms, data pipelines, AI/ML platforms, and enterprise governance, security, or compliance processes will be an advantage.

Additional details

Work location is Bengaluru, India, with a hybrid work arrangement that includes office attendance.

Compensation is listed as INR 27,50,000 to INR 40,00,000 per year.
