Role overview
Atlantic Projects Company is seeking a highly organised, proactive Site Document Controller to support its team on a full-time onsite basis at Platin Power Station in Slane, County Meath, Ireland. The role is central to keeping project records accurate, current, compliant, and easy for the wider team to access. You will help manage documentation workflows, support administrative tasks, and make sure site document control runs smoothly.
Core duties
In this position, you will oversee the organisation and upkeep of the site’s document management setup, including the InEight Document system as well as physical and digital files. You will make sure drawings, specifications, reports, correspondence, and other project records are properly stored, indexed, and quick to retrieve. A key part of the job is tracking document revisions so updates are controlled and shared with the right people.
You will also help circulate project documents to internal teams, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring revisions and changes are communicated promptly and accurately. This includes supporting the approval, release, and follow-up of documents for project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
On the administrative side, you will assist the Document Control Manager and the site team with meeting coordination, report preparation, and progress log updates. You will handle incoming document requests from both the site team and external parties, and ensure records are located and shared without delay. You will also help maintain document control databases so that information remains consistent and reliable.
Compliance and quality
The role requires close attention to project standards, company procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. You will help ensure all records meet the required control standards and assist with audit and review preparation. Your work will contribute to a document control process aligned with industry expectations and best practice.
Stakeholder communication
You will act as a key point of contact between the project team, the Document Control Manager, and other relevant stakeholders to keep the flow of documentation moving efficiently. You may also support the preparation of presentations, reports, and meeting materials for internal or client-facing discussions.
General site support
In addition to document control tasks, you will provide on-site administrative help as needed and maintain a structured filing system for all project-related site documentation.
Experience and skills required
The ideal candidate will have experience handling document control within a construction or engineering project environment, along with familiarity with InEight software or a similar platform. A solid understanding of document control methods, systems, and standards is important, as is confidence working with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
You should be highly accurate, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a busy site-based environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders. A proactive approach, the ability to take initiative, and the capacity to work independently when required are also essential.
