Role overview
This opening is for an entry-level / associate software engineer to support the technology team in building, testing, launching, and maintaining software products and systems. The role suits someone with solid analytical ability, basic programming knowledge, and a genuine interest in developing practical technology solutions.
You will gain hands-on exposure to the full software development lifecycle while working with experienced teammates in a collaborative environment focused on learning and professional growth.
What you will do
In this role, you will help design, develop, test, deploy, and improve applications and services. Daily work may include writing and refining code, fixing defects, troubleshooting issues, supporting releases, and contributing to the ongoing upkeep of software systems.
You may also take part in code reviews, prepare technical documentation, work with databases, connect applications to APIs and external services, observe application performance, and assist with feature upgrades that improve reliability, scalability, and overall functionality.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with programming languages, development frameworks, databases, APIs, and version control tools. A working understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, testing methods, and software development workflows will be useful in this position.
Experience or exposure to web technologies, cloud environments, or modern software architecture is an added advantage. We are also looking for someone who communicates clearly, adapts well to change, works proactively, and is eager to keep learning.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, professionalism, and a commitment to building high-quality software are important for success in this role.
Preferred background
A qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a similar discipline is preferred. Practical exposure through internships, academic projects, open-source work, personal projects, or technical support experience will strengthen an application.
Additional familiarity with databases, cloud services, test automation, agile methods, or related tools is considered beneficial.
