About the Role
Parsons is seeking an experienced Document Control Manager to lead the full lifecycle of document and data control for a large-scale, multi-billion-dollar project in Riyadh. This position is responsible for designing, rolling out, and overseeing strong document control processes, systems, and governance across the PMO, contractors, and outside stakeholders.
The role ensures that project records, engineering outputs, commercial correspondence, technical submissions, and related information are accurately managed, stored, retrieved, and maintained in line with project and client requirements. A key focus is maintaining data integrity and audit readiness from project launch through final closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee adherence to the Document Control Procedure across the PMO and PMCs, and revise the procedure whenever updates are required.
- Administer the programme’s electronic document management system (EDMS).
- Set up document workflows within the EDMS for programme documentation.
- Prepare and issue weekly logs highlighting outstanding and overdue items.
- Train team members on how to use the EDMS effectively.
- Draft and improve procedures as part of document control administration.
Required Experience and Skills
- A degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Business Administration, Documentation, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in document control management.
- Comfortable sharing knowledge and training others on EDMS and SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus familiarity with document management platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to proactively align the PMO and PMCs on EDMS usage and standards.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Professional certification in document control, such as Certified Document Controller or ISO 9001, or a background in records management.
- Good understanding of legal and regulatory document retention obligations.
- Exposure to document control systems, project management tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
