Tata Electronics Private Limited is a greenfield initiative of the Tata Group focused on manufacturing precision components. The company is setting up India’s first AI-enabled, advanced semiconductor foundry through its wholly owned subsidiary, Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL). The facility is designed to manufacture chips for applications including power management ICs, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCUs), and high-performance computing logic, serving demand across automotive, computing, data storage, wireless communications, and artificial intelligence.

Role Summary

This role focuses on indirect procurement and end-to-end procure-to-pay execution. It requires strong coordination across internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure efficient purchasing, timely deliveries, cost discipline, and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Handle the complete procure-to-pay cycle, including validating requisitions, processing purchase orders, coordinating invoices, following up on payments, and maintaining compliance.
• Use SAP MM and SAP Ariba to improve process efficiency through automation, spend analysis, and effective management of PRs, POs, and invoices.
• Support cost control initiatives, monitor supplier performance, and work closely with internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.
• Prepare and process purchase orders while ensuring approvals are obtained on time in line with internal policy.
• Track supplier acknowledgements and keep delivery dates updated accurately in SAP.
• Work proactively with suppliers to identify and reduce risks that could affect on-time delivery.
• Fast-track urgent orders and manage procurement exceptions to avoid disruptions in supply.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure materials are received on time and inventory is available when needed.
• Partner with finance to support accurate and timely vendor payments.
• Prepare procurement reports and insights that help improve decisions and support continuous process improvements.

Essential Attributes

The role calls for strong command of procure-to-pay workflows, SAP MM and Ariba, supplier management, spend analysis, cost optimisation, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence across indirect procurement categories.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. An MBA in Supply Chain Management or relevant procurement certifications such as CIPS or APSCM are preferred.

Experience

Typically, 3 to 6 years of experience in indirect procurement is expected, with solid exposure to PR-to-PO operations and SAP MM/Ariba systems across MRO and service categories.
