Private Equity Associate

Role overview

This contract position is for a Private Equity Associate working remotely. The assignment is designed for a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours and pays an hourly rate of $100 to $144.

Core responsibilities

• Perform in-depth due diligence and evaluate confidential information memoranda, along with the related deal materials.
• Prepare, polish, and validate Investment Committee memos and Board Decks used in decision-making.
• Work through public filings, financial statements, and detailed transaction documents to support investment analysis.
• Partner with both internal and external stakeholders to track progress and surface any issues or errors.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of care and precision throughout the deal lifecycle.

Required background

• Substantial experience in private equity, or a mix of private equity and investment banking, at the Associate or Analyst level.
• Hands-on experience with public filings, M&A or financing transactions, and the preparation of CIMs/SIMs and diligence materials.
• Strong capability in building and editing Investment Committee memos and Board Decks so complex information is clearly communicated.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to present persuasive and accurate narratives to different audiences.
• Strong organizational habits, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage several projects at the same time.
