Role overview

Boeing is looking for a Programme Manager to join its Global Services Programme Management team, with the role based in either Frimley or Dublin. The position focuses on managing post-delivery aircraft modification work for airline customers. Typical projects involve fitting new aircraft equipment such as seating, in-flight entertainment systems, and monuments including galleys, lavatories, and stowage units.

You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work closely with engineering, airworthiness, and logistics teams to keep projects on track against agreed timelines and budgets. This is a high-visibility position that requires strong communication skills and the confidence to interact with colleagues and customers at all seniority levels. Experience with aircraft modification projects, or a background in programme management or project lead engineering within aerospace or MRO environments, would be especially valuable. The role is hybrid and involves travel for up to 50% of the time, sometimes at short notice.

Key duties

The role carries full ownership of delivery performance from award through to final completion. It includes managing schedule, quality, financial controls, risks, issues, and opportunities while ensuring internal teams execute to plan and customer expectations are clearly translated to engineering and delivery teams.

This opportunity is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must already have legal permission to work in the UK and must be available to start immediately. Boeing will not provide immigration or labour sponsorship, and relocation support is not available for this role. The job is identified as a Shift Worker position in the United Kingdom.

Required background

Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A stronger profile would include prior aircraft modification or integration work, proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including MS Project, a STEM degree or at least 5 years of experience in a related commercial or military aerospace environment, and a formal programme management qualification such as PMP or CPM.
