Python Project Manager

Role Overview

This position combines project leadership, technical oversight, and people management for Python-based engineering work. The role sits in Jaipur and focuses on guiding delivery from discovery through deployment and support while also improving team performance and client outcomes.

Project and Delivery Management

• Take ownership of the complete delivery journey, starting from requirement understanding and continuing through production launch and post-release support.
• Build and maintain project schedules, delivery plans, milestone trackers, staffing plans, and risk controls.
• Keep delivery aligned with timelines, scope, budget, and quality expectations.
• Apply Agile and Scrum methods consistently and support ongoing process improvements.
• Monitor progress, dependencies, risks, and blockers, and share timely updates with leadership and customers.
• Maintain strong delivery discipline, follow defined processes, and uphold operational standards.

Technical Leadership

• Guide Python engineering teams with practical technical direction.
• Review architecture decisions, code quality, scalability, performance, and security practices.
• Contribute to solution design and technical decision-making discussions.
• Stay proficient in the Python ecosystem, APIs, microservices, cloud environments, AI/ML integrations, and automation tools.
• Help investigate and resolve major technical problems when they arise.

Team Management and Growth

• Lead, coach, and develop strong engineering teams.
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and skill development activities.
• Encourage accountability, initiative, innovation, and cross-team collaboration.
• Identify capability gaps and put structured upskilling plans in place.
• Build teams that can scale with future business needs.

Client and Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the main contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Take part in leadership reviews, client discussions, and strategic business conversations.
• Convert business requirements into practical execution plans.
• Strengthen client relationships through proactive communication and reliable delivery.
• Handle expectations, escalations, and change requests in a structured way.

AI and Innovation

• Promote the use of AI tools, automation solutions, and productivity enhancers.
• Assess new AI technologies and frameworks for engineering and operational gains.
• Encourage AI-assisted development practices that improve engineering quality.
• Focus on initiatives that improve ROI, reduce cost, and streamline processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong practical experience in the Python development ecosystem.
• Hands-on exposure to Django, FastAPI, and Flask.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, and the OpenAI API.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering tools and productivity platforms.
• Solid experience delivering projects in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Capability in planning, estimation, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Strong risk handling and escalation management skills.
• Experience coordinating distributed or global teams.
• Ability to run several projects at the same time.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder handling, presentation, negotiation, and decision-making ability.
• A business-focused mindset with attention to customer success and ROI.
