Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Spray Painter position is based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. In this role, you will get surfaces ready for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming them according to the project’s requirements. You will also mix paints, choose suitable coating materials, and use spray equipment to produce a smooth, even finish. The position includes checking completed work for flaws, carrying out touch-ups where needed, maintaining painting tools and equipment, and working in line with safety and environmental standards. You will coordinate with supervisors and coworkers to help complete work on schedule.

Key Duties

• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming based on job specifications.
• Blend and match paint colors and select the right coatings for each task.
• Apply paint with spray tools to achieve an even, professional-quality finish.
• Review finished surfaces for imperfections and complete any necessary touch-ups.
• Keep spray tools, equipment, and work areas in proper working condition.
• Follow company quality expectations, safety rules, and environmental guidelines.
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines and production needs.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with painting, spray painting, and working on different surface types.
• Working knowledge of painting and decorating techniques that produce neat and accurate results.
• Understanding of coatings, including surface prep, primer use, and correct application methods.
• Ability to read and follow job instructions, technical guidance, and safety procedures.
• Good eye for detail, color matching, and quality control.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and safely use hand and power tools.
• Prior work in industrial, automotive, construction, or manufacturing painting settings is an added advantage.
• Strong commitment to safety practices, personal protective equipment, and environmental compliance.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of an on-site team in Port Harcourt.
