This permanent full-time role is based in Ireland, with office options across Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway. The position is not open to work visa sponsorship. You will help clients unlock greater value from their data by designing practical, high-impact analytics and architecture solutions that support business change, governance, and growth.
As part of a globally connected consulting environment, you will work across multiple sectors and collaborate with assurance, consulting, law, strategy, tax, and transactions teams where needed. The role combines client advisory, solution design, team leadership, and hands-on architecture work.
What you will do
- Lead multi-skilled teams working with a range of data and analytics technologies.
- Adjust leadership and communication styles to suit different teams, clients, and cultural settings, while spotting risks early and escalating issues appropriately.
- Build a strong learning environment by coaching junior colleagues, sharing best practices, and passing on industry and technical knowledge.
- Design and deliver data assets such as data models, integration layers, storage structures, and governance controls using sound industry practice and client needs.
- Apply advanced data modelling methods to develop enterprise data models.
- Put data management practices into action, including metadata management, data quality controls, and data testing.
- Work with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to convert business needs into technical specifications and solution designs.
- Review current data architectures, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend remediation plans that strengthen data management processes and systems.
- Create and lead data migration approaches, making sure migration work protects data integrity and limits disruption to client operations.
- Serve as a trusted client advisor on data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data security.
- Stay up to date with new technologies, market developments, and evolving standards, and use that knowledge to strengthen innovation and consulting offerings.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in data analysis and data strategy, with a strong record of turning complex datasets into clear and impactful visual stories.
- A strong academic background, ideally a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
- Proven capability in data modelling and database design, including ER models, dimensional models, data vaults, and hierarchical or network data models.
- Substantial experience writing code for SQL and NoSQL databases across a variety of on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Deep knowledge of data integration, ETL workflows, and data warehouse architecture.
- Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud data services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for large-scale processing and analytics.
- Solid understanding of data quality methods such as profiling, cleansing, and validation.
- Ability to produce detailed documentation for data models, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Experience building and managing real-time data streams using tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, or similar technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks and operating practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into effective data solutions.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships at different levels of an organisation.
- Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring consultants and driving project outcomes.
Preferred profile
