Role overview
CI Services, part of UniTek Global Services, is hiring an Assistant Claim Administrator to support auto and property claims work. The position focuses on claim intake, checking coverage, keeping records accurate, communicating with customers, and coordinating with adjusters and vendors so claims are processed promptly, correctly, and in line with regulatory and company requirements.
Core duties
- Open new property claims and confirm that the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) is accurate.
- Keep claim files well-organized and up to date, and work within claims systems such as Zoho and the Corp Svcs portal.
- Collect statements from claimants, witnesses, and vendors, and request and monitor estimates, photos, and supporting reports.
- Read and interpret telecom locate markings, including paint colors, symbols, utility codes, and tolerance zones.
- Examine site photos and maps to understand the placement of fiber, coax, and copper facilities.
- Apply knowledge of telecom construction methods, including boring, trenching, plowing, aerial installation, handholes, pedestals, and splice points.
- Recognize probable damage causes such as missed locates, incorrect potholing, depth variations, and contractor-related mistakes.
- Draft clear summaries of damage findings.
- Act as a contact point for claimants and provide updates on status and next steps.
- Process payment requests for approved invoices and determine any back charges or credits where applicable.
- File property damage claims with the relevant provider when subcontractor funds are no longer available.
- Keep dashboards and activity logs current and arrange meetings when needed.
- Work closely with internal teams and outside repair subcontractors to move claims forward.
