Role overview
Mountain Warehouse is hiring a retail leader for its Christchurch Tower Junction location in New Zealand. This position is focused on leading a store team, improving customer experiences, supporting strong sales performance, and keeping daily operations running smoothly.
The successful candidate will act as the centre of the store, encouraging the team to do their best while taking responsibility for overall store performance, customer satisfaction, and operational standards.
Leadership and team development

- Help recruit, keep, and develop strong talent to build a motivated and high-performing team.
Sales and performance
- Put actions in place to achieve and outperform sales targets and KPIs.
- Support loss prevention by putting practical controls in place that reduce risk and protect margin.
- Use commercial awareness to guide decisions, manage budgets wisely, and deliver steady results.
Customer experience
- Set the standard for outstanding service and ensure each customer interaction leaves a strong impression.
- Respond carefully to customer concerns and work toward positive resolutions that strengthen loyalty.
- Represent the brand professionally and with enthusiasm at all times.
- Build connections within the local community through approachable and engaging actions that encourage repeat business.
