CAD Engineer

Role Overview

Larsen & Toubro is looking for a meticulous CAD Engineer with solid experience in AutoCAD-based modeling, LISP scripting, and coordination across civil, structural, and architectural workstreams. The position involves producing technical drawings and 3D models while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and working closely with multiple engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, update, and oversee 2D and 3D AutoCAD models for civil and structural assignments.
• Produce detailed drawing sets, including General Arrangement (GA) drawings, numeration drawings, and reinforced concrete (RC) detailed drawings.
• Work in sync with structural, architectural, and MEP teams to keep designs aligned across disciplines.
• Develop and maintain LISP routines to reduce repetitive work and improve drafting efficiency.
• Where required by the project, prepare structural steel detailing drawings.
• Check that all deliverables follow project standards, applicable codes, and client requirements.
• Take part in design reviews and contribute technical suggestions to improve drawing quality and productivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on professional experience using the latest version of AutoCAD in an engineering setting.
• Working knowledge of civil and structural drawing conventions and standards.
• Capability to contribute independently while also collaborating effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and time-management ability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to structural steel detailing.
• Knowledge of design platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, or SketchUp.
• Experience on defense, infrastructure, or industrial projects will be considered an advantage.

Education

Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering.
