About the company

Stio is a mountain-inspired omnichannel brand that creates and sells apparel, footwear, and accessories designed for performance and everyday life outdoors. Headquartered in Jackson, Wyoming, the company takes design cues from the Teton Range and reaches customers through its website, catalog, B2B partnerships, and Mountain Studio retail stores.

The brand emphasizes stewardship of the places it celebrates. It works with organizations such as Protect Our Winters and the Conservation Alliance, prioritizes preferred materials, uses Bluesign-approved textiles where possible, reviews supply chains for responsible practices, and aims to operate its workplaces with care and accountability.

Stio also focuses on inclusion and access, with a belief that the outdoors should be welcoming to people of every race, gender, belief, background, and ability. That commitment extends across its communities and internal culture.

Role overview

The Creative Operations Manager is the central organizer for Stio's creative team. This person keeps creative work moving efficiently, on schedule, and with strong process discipline across seasons, channels, and ongoing workstreams.

Reporting to the Associate Creative Director, the role works closely with Brand, Performance, E-commerce, Retail, and Product partners to manage the end-to-end creative pipeline, oversee asset and resource workflows, and keep the creative asset library organized, searchable, and ready for use across channels. The right candidate enjoys building structure, improving systems, and making sure the team can do its best work without friction.

Key responsibilities

Project and traffic management responsibilities include owning the creative pipeline from intake through final delivery, balancing priorities and deadlines, building workback schedules for campaigns and launches, coordinating with cross-functional partners, running project meetings, flagging risks early, and aligning creative timelines with go-to-market milestones.

Process and operations responsibilities include maintaining and improving workflow systems, including Asana setup, intake processes, and team operating rhythms. The role also requires setting stronger brief standards, planning team capacity, reducing process inefficiencies, and identifying ways AI tools can streamline production, automate repetitive tasks, and improve quality.

Asset and resource management responsibilities include overseeing the digital asset management platform, setting naming and metadata standards, maintaining folder structure and asset lifecycle practices, ensuring assets are organized and available on time, coordinating with freelancers and vendors, and managing invoice tracking and payment processing in collaboration with the Associate Creative Director and other stakeholders.

Strategic support responsibilities include helping with seasonal planning and resource allocation, leading or contributing to retrospectives, translating lessons learned into better workflows, tracking performance metrics such as on-time delivery and revision cycles, and helping new team members and partners get up to speed on tools and standards.

Experience and qualifications

Candidates should bring at least 3 years of experience managing creative or marketing workflows, ideally in an in-house creative team, brand environment, or agency setting. Experience designing and improving project management systems is important, along with strong capability in Asana or a similar platform.

Hands-on experience with a digital asset management system is required, with Bynder strongly preferred. The role also calls for comfort with AI tools, strong brief-writing judgment, the ability to communicate clearly across creative and non-creative teams, and a calm, organized, solutions-focused approach under pressure.

It is helpful to have experience with consumer-facing brands in apparel, outdoor, lifestyle, or adjacent categories. A genuine connection to mountain culture, along with alignment to the company's mission, vision, and values, is also expected.

Additional information

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for 75% of the workday.

Stio offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, company-paid long-term disability, employee assistance programs, a 401(k) with match, generous paid time off, and gear testing along with additional perks.

The company offers a competitive compensation package that includes base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000, although actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.

This job description is not intended to include every possible duty, task, requirement, or working condition. The company may revise the role or assign additional or different responsibilities as needed. Stio is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes qualified candidates from all backgrounds, including minorities, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, and people with disabilities.
