Data Analytics Intern

About the Role

This is a remote opportunity with a fast-growing confidential startup for a curious, detail-focused Data Analytics Intern. You will work closely with the founding team and get practical exposure to turning raw data into insights, creating dashboards, and supporting decisions that have real business impact.

What You’ll Do

• Gather, prepare, and evaluate both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Run exploratory analysis to spot trends, patterns, and useful business signals.
• Create and update dashboards and reports that help the team understand performance.
• Use SQL to pull, filter, and transform data efficiently.
• Support the team in selecting KPIs and tracking business metrics.
• Work alongside product, marketing, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate findings in a simple, practical, and decision-friendly way.

What We’re Looking For

• You are currently studying or have recently completed a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related area.
• You should be comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Basic SQL knowledge is required.
• Exposure to Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy, or similar tools, will be useful.
• Some familiarity with dashboarding and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is expected.
• You need strong analytical ability and sound problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with real datasets or analytics projects.
• Understanding of business KPIs and performance tracking.
• Exposure to A/B testing or statistical methods.
• Comfort working in a startup-style, fast-moving environment.

This role is remote.

Duration

The internship is expected to run for 3 to 6 months, with a possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time position.

Compensation
