As an Electrical Foreman, you will oversee the day-to-day electrical works at the project site. Your main responsibility will be to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and the project programme, while working under the direction of the Electrical Site Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily electrical installation work on site, including LV, MV, and other related electrical systems where required.
• Assign work and supervise electrical technicians, skilled workers, and labourers to maintain output and smooth execution.
• Carry out tasks based on approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and instructions from the Electrical Site Engineer.
• Track manpower use and help ensure work stays aligned with the approved project schedule.
• Review work areas and confirm that installations are completed correctly and meet quality expectations.
• Liaise with civil, mechanical, and other site teams to prevent clashes and keep workflow uninterrupted.
• Share daily updates on progress, manpower allocation, material needs, and site concerns with the Electrical Site Engineer.
• Make sure materials, tools, equipment, and consumables needed for site activities are available and used properly.
• Check that materials delivered to site match approved specifications and are suitable for installation.
• Support testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
• Spot site constraints, technical issues, or deviations and report them promptly to the Electrical Site Engineer.
• Ensure all team members follow electrical safety rules, site safety requirements, HSE procedures, and company policies.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and help maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor housekeeping and keep work areas tidy and organized.
• Assist quality control efforts by following Inspection and Test Plans, checklists, and inspection requirements.
• Support the correction of non-conformities and carry out corrective actions as directed.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to keep work progressing without delays.
• Maintain records of daily activity, attendance, equipment usage, and completed work.
• Help prepare snag lists and ensure corrective items are closed out on time.
• Guide and coach electrical workers on the job to improve workmanship and productivity.
• Assist with cable pulling, terminations, panel installation, lighting fixtures, containment systems, and related electrical work.
• Keep up to date with current installation methods, materials, and technologies relevant to electrical works and industry developments.
• Carry out other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and experience

You should hold an Electrical Diploma from a recognized technical or industrial institute, or an equivalent qualification. The role requires 6+ years of experience in electrical site execution across building services, MEP, commercial, residential, hospitality, or similar construction projects, along with prior experience supervising electrical teams on construction sites.

Required knowledge and skills

The role calls for strong technical understanding of electrical systems and installation practices, along with the ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and installation details. You should also be familiar with electrical materials, cable types, containment systems, fittings, tools, and equipment used on site, as well as testing and commissioning support activities. Knowledge of electrical safety standards and site HSE procedures is important. Basic MS Office skills are preferred for reporting. Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, attention to detail, organization, and time management are essential. You should be comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Good English communication is required, and Arabic is an advantage.
