About the opportunity

The role is based on a day shift with flexible start and finish times, and may also require weekend support depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities
The Engineering Store Coordinator will be responsible for inventory control, store management, and support for maintenance and production teams.
- Order and maintain suitable levels of parts, consumables, and tools in line with site requirements.
- Carry out stocktakes and cycle counts, with accurate updates in BPCS/ERP systems.
- Ensure all stock movements are recorded correctly and on time.
- Oversee chemical storage and chemical consumable stock, maintaining proper records and handling compliance.
- Keep the store area clean, organised, and hygienic at all times.
- Remove tools and materials after use to reduce the risk of product contamination.
- Follow GMP, OHS, Lock Out Tag Out, and site food safety procedures.
- Spot potential safety or quality issues and escalate them promptly.
- Supply parts and consumables to engineering, electrical, and production teams in a timely manner.
- Work with external suppliers to source items and negotiate parts where needed.
- Set stock levels within approved parameters.
- Track supplier performance and raise concerns when required.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and suggest alternative suppliers.
About you
You should bring practical store, purchasing, or inventory knowledge, along with a hands-on attitude and strong attention to detail. The role suits someone who is organised, dependable, comfortable working independently, and able to collaborate effectively with others.
Additional requirements and working conditions
- Intermediate computer ability, including ERP systems, BPCS, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of purchasing and inventory processes.
- Awareness of chemical handling practices or relevant training.
