About the Company

Big Ticket LLC has been running since 1992, known for delivering large cash awards and dream cars through its monthly draws. Every month, the business creates memorable moments for participants, with millions of dirhams distributed in prizes, along with luxury vehicles and other rewards.

The organization positions itself as more than a raffle operator. Its goal is to turn aspirations into reality through entertainment-led games and draws that bring excitement, joy, and hope to audiences worldwide.

Role Purpose

This is a senior, hands-on finance leadership position that sits at the center of the business. The role covers the complete financial control remit, including month-end close, statutory reporting, treasury, audit, and compliance. It also includes building a procurement capability for the division from the ground up.

You will be the primary finance contact for the wider business and work closely with the Finance Director and leadership team. The position suits someone who wants to actively shape how a finance function is structured and operated, rather than simply maintain existing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full month-end cycle, including preparation and review of financial statements, production of monthly management accounts, and timely delivery of accurate reconciled figures.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and manage the team closely, stepping in where practical support is needed.
  • Take complete ownership of treasury, cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, while tracking liquidity and working capital risks.
  • Ensure the balance sheet, intercompany balances, and bank accounts are fully reconciled without exceptions.
  • Maintain compliance across FTA requirements, VAT, corporate tax, and audit processes so the division remains audit-ready.
  • Design and apply internal controls that protect company assets and support the business as it expands.
  • Manage external audit activity, including auditor coordination, issue resolution, and end-to-end oversight through final sign-off.
  • Coach, guide, and develop the accounting team by setting expectations, building capability, and encouraging strong performance.
  • Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and systems, fixing gaps and strengthening processes where needed.
  • Provide financial analysis that supports business decisions, strategic planning, performance reviews, and investment evaluation.
  • Create the procurement function from scratch by developing SOPs, drafting policy, and building a structured procurement framework.
  • Shape procurement strategies aligned to business priorities, influencing sourcing decisions, spend control, and supplier selection.
  • Identify, assess, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Monitor market movements and supplier performance to guide purchasing decisions and manage cost pressures proactively.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with group policies and applicable regulations while adapting processes to divisional needs.
  • Own the procurement budget and report on initiatives that deliver savings.
  • Keep procurement records accurate and organized, including purchase details, pricing, contracts, and vendor data.

Skills and Experience

  • Advanced technical accounting knowledge with strong command of IFRS and fast-paced month-end processes.
  • Practical experience using Dynamics 365; exposure to SAP or Oracle is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical ability with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership capability in managing and developing teams.
  • Exposure to procurement activities such as supplier negotiation, contract handling, and policy creation.
  • Ability to explain finance concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a busy, international setting with multiple competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax is considered a strong plus.

Qualifications

  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent credential.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Background in a Big 4 audit environment is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a Financial Controller role or another senior finance leadership position.
  • Ambitious and ready to move into a broader leadership role.
